Unique identifier (IDU)

Why a unique identifier (UID) and when does it come into effect?

The IDU is assigned to your company as proof of your registration in the solar industry register, in accordance with legal requirements. This is proof that you are in compliance with the regulations governing photovoltaic waste management.

For the ADEME, this identifier makes it easier to monitor and control compliance with the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations imposed on producers of photovoltaic panels. The IDU is therefore a guarantee that you are fulfilling your legal obligations to the relevant authorities.

This provision of the AGEC law (article L. 541-10-10 of the French Environment Code) came into force on 01/01/2022. Since this date, the seller of a product subject to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) must, at the buyer’s request, communicate the unique identifier (UID) under which the producer responsible for fulfilling EPR obligations for this product is registered.

How do I get my unique identifier?

Once your membership has been validated, you will receive a unique identifier.

This identifier may be communicated in the general terms and conditions of sale document or, failing this, in any other contractual document sent to the purchaser, in accordance with article R.541-173 of the French Environment Code.

👉 It is available in your Moebius space, in the “My company” tab.

👉 It is displayed in the “Unique identifier” insert.
